Two insightful clips from Evan Almighty- The movie is full of slapstick moments, but scenes like these show the thought that went into making the movie a meaningful one as well.
This first clip talks about changing the world through one act of random kindness at a time. I have shared this idea with some people before, and this is the part of the movie I was talking about. I can't imagine talking to God face to face, it just blows my mind! The idea has to live on, exams and housemanship has taken away enough of my life already this year, somehow it has to live on.
The second clip is another one that really stands out for me- so many times we pray for things and then restrict God with our expectations of what entails "answering our prayers". We take things into our own hands and try to forge a path without realizing that sometimes he might already be answering our prayers. "Trust in the Lord. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the Lord" Psalms 27:14 Trust in Him not for outcomes, but that he is working.
